Solvent Maintenance

Preserving the solvent and the degreasing plant

The higher the oil content in the solvent in the internal vapour generator in the degreasing plant, the hotter this must be heated to allow it to achieve the cleaning performance desired. These elevated temperatures always involve the risk of overheating which goes with acidification of the solvent. Once the acidification process has been initiated it propagates itself in a chain reaction and can only be stopped by a stabilizer.Since a DESTA 20 keeps the oil content in the solvent in the degreasing plant's internal vapour generator to a minimum, it is possible to work at optimum temperatures. Corrosion damage to the metal degreasing plant, which might have arisen from acidification, can thus be prevented.
